The doctoral training is designed as structured and organised programme for early-stage researchers. The duration of the programme is 4 years and is composed from training, teaching and research, including short/mid-term research fellowship. The research work is composed as dissertation thesis and is usually written as a monograph. The training, as a key part of the PhD study programme, is based on courses you need to attend according to your dissertation thesis topic. You will discuss the selection of courses with your supervisor and the Study Office. As a doctoral student, you are expected to participate in teaching activities, e.g. seminars and laboratory activities. Each of our students is required to undertake at least one short-term research fellowship at the university or research institute of recognised standing.
We encourage highly motivated and talented students, who want to work in an interdisciplinary, international and friendly environment, use state of the art facilities, CEITEC Nano, and work on international projects to join our PhD programme.
